Run empty model with single cell leaf

by Michael A. Guravage last modified Aug 30, 2011 08:53 AM

Invoke the VirtualLeaf and run your empty model

Execute the VirtualLeaf:

> cd virtualleaf
> bin/VirtualLeaf

Your 'Empty Model' should now appear in the `Models' pull-down menu.

Since this particular simulation-experiment does not read a separate LeafML file, but starts with VirtualLeaf's own default single cell leaf, you must set 'DATADIR', the variable whose value tells the VirtualLeaf should write its screenshots, by hand. Open the 'Edit parameters' item in the 'Options' menu. You will find 'datadir' in the Data Export group. To instantiate your change, click first on the 'Write' button then on 'Close.'

To enable snapshots, select 'Start saving movie frames' under the 'View' menu.

Type 's' to start the simulation.
