Generate movie from screenshots

by Michael A. Guravage last modified Aug 30, 2011 08:55 AM

Aggregate multiple png screenshots into a single avi movie.

The simulation-experiment results in a series of screenshots. Here is a script you can use to aggregate the screenshots into a single animation. Download it and place it somewhere in your execution path.

Go to the 'DATADIR' directory you set in the task and execute the following command:

> png2avi -f 30 -m first-movie

The DATADIR variable contains an XPath expression point to a location in a LeafML file that names the location where the VirtualLeaf should write its snapshots. As stated earlier, we do not use a LeafML file in this simulation-experiment, but we include a variable here for the purpose of associating  this data generator with the task that created the output.
